On the 3rd June 2022 the community came together to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, at Woodbourne Sports & Social Club.
The Parish Council were delighted when they heard that Woodbourne were planning to organise the event and we are extremely pleased that we agreed to support them with the event.
Woodbourne Sports & Social Club is a great facility on Rumbush Lane, in Tidbury Green.
It offers an excellent club and outdoor space, where a number of sports including football, cricket and Crown Green bowls take place.
We were so pleased to see so many people join us from the Community. It was a great day, (even though it rained later in the afternoon), enjoyed by friends and family.
We enjoyed a BBQ, Music, Beverages from the bar, Inflatables, Funfair Teacups & Bungee Trampolines, Afternoon Cream Tea and much more.
The Parish Council feel that these types of gatherings are invaluable for communities. They help people meet friends old and new, socialise and have fun, which is so important for improved health and mental wellbeing. We hope that this was the first of many successful events.
The Parish Council would like to say a massive thank you to Woodbourne Sports and Social Club, for hosting the event. In particular thank you to Kate Fall, who did such an amazing job organising and advertising the event, decorating the club so well, being so welcoming and working so hard to ensure that the event was such a success.
Thank you to Darren from Jungle Hut for bringing Louie the Orangutan. The kids (and adults) loved him.

Last and my no means least a great big thank you to all those who attended. It was so nice to see you all there. All the kids seemed to have fun and they were so well behaved. Without all those that attended; events like this would not happen. Attending goes such a long way to helping to build happy and strong communities. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we all did and we hope that we will see you again in the future for more fun events.
